Reaching Rural Areas
This Mobile Eye Clinic is meant exclusively for the nooks of rural community screenings. Since the inception of rural eye camps to date we have examined about 700,000 out-patients and have performed about 60,000 surgical procedures. Furthering our dream is to strive for a “World without Childhood Blindness”
Patients screened and identified for eye problems at these camps are brought to the Base Hospital for further treatment in our own vehicles.
What we do
Our Services
Eye Camps
Eye camps are conducted with a dedicated fully air-conditioned Mobile Eye Clinic (an Ophthalmic Van) which is equipped the ophthalmology equipment. This equipment is used to screen Refractive errors, Cataract, Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy eye problems in patients.
Intervention
Patients screened and identified for greater eye problems at these camps are brought to the Base Hospital for further treatment. During their stay at Base Hospital, they are provided with free food and accommodation, not only to the patient but also to one attendant. After surgical intervention they are provided with free medication and spectacles. These patients are dropped back at their respective villages.
