CSR Advisory Board

The CSR Advisory Board of the Eye Foundation of America serves as a strategic think tank and action platform that brings together distinguished leaders from business, philanthropy, public health, and social impact. The Board plays a pivotal role in shaping sustainable, scalable, and high-impact CSR partnerships aimed at achieving a World Without Childhood Blindness.
Dr Leela Raju, also an ophthalmologist, accepted the award last year from AIA (Association of Indians in America), NY chapter, on behalf of her father. She is fully invested in his work.

Our Purpose

The Advisory Board exists to align corporate responsibility with public health outcomes, ensuring that every CSR investment translates into measurable, long-term change for children at risk of preventable blindness.
With over four decades of on-ground experience in pediatric eye care, Eye Foundation of America leverages the Board’s expertise to design programs that are ethical, transparent, replicable, and globally relevant.

Our Focus Areas

CSR initiatives guided by the Advisory Board primarily focus on:

Why It Matters

Over 90% of learning happens through vision. When a child loses sight, the impact extends beyond health — affecting education, productivity, and dignity for a lifetime. The CSR Advisory Board ensures that corporate participation becomes a force for generational transformation, not just short-term philanthropy.

Unite for Good

The CSR Advisory Board embodies a shared belief:
When business leadership and compassion come together, millions of children can see, learn, and thrive.
Together, we are not just funding programs — we are securing futures.
